I think you are right Warhorse. It would have better human interest appeal. I think that producers are shying away from epic movies though now after the flop of Alexander and Gods and Generals, etc. Perhaps a mini-series? Who do you think would be the best character to focus on? I think perhaps a dual focus on Grant and Lee might be interesting... between the two of them you would cover almost every important battle of the war and there would be a very cathartic final scene at Appomattox.
