I just heard about Redford's movie recently; he is anti-war,I hope his personal views don't come out in the film and he sticks to the facts.
Well, this is more about Mary Sarratt's role (or lack thereof) in the assassination of Abraham Lincoln rather than the war itself. Of course, Redford may be looking to make her appear sympathetic and an innocent victim of a rush to judgment...which indeed she may have been --or not. How is that for mitigated phraseology?
Anyhoo, I have done some checking in the last few minutes and found that this movie is scheduled to debut April 15! I'll be at the first showing in my local theater. I can't wait.
