April 25, 1861- Lincoln sent a letter to General Winfield Scott, Union general-in-chief, to the effect that, if Maryland tries to secede, he had permission to "the bombardment of their cities". Right off the bat Lincoln couldn't wait to indiscriminately shell civilians. That's terrorism.
