Just got back from the statue dedication ceremonies in the Easton town square. Impressed by the number of people who attended. Great speakers, especially Fred Morsell, who looks exactly like Douglass. Gave a rousing talk from one of Douglass speeches on race. Also, David Blight gave an outstanding speech. Later this afternoon a talk on the archeology digs at Wye House plantation, one of the places where Douglass was a slave here in Talbot County, Maryland. Doc C
