i bought a book there at the rangers station for 25 bucks. attached is an excerpt about custer and catherine's furnace. the wilderness campaign by garry h gallagher. i think that it is entirely possible that phillip was taken to a field hospital at carpenter road first.since it was so close to the battle. but the rangers said that he would probably go to the wilderness inn. the rangers were very accommodating and spent a good deal of time with me.even though i am a yankee. i am quite sure that eventually he was buried at fredericksburg nat'l cemetary anonymously. donald c troy Last edited on Tue Jul 19th, 2011 05:10 pm by DONALD C TROY |
