Chancellorsville did not destroy the AOP. Hooker just pulled it back across the river. It was still able to fight again. I'll agree with you that Lee did believe that he could destroy the AOP as a fighting force, but that doesn't make him right. Just my assessment using the one advantage I have over Lee: 20/20 hindsight. Mark
