Given the gruesome events of the last couple of weeks, perhaps a more current movie should have been "Abraham Lincoln:Zombie Hunter", but in fact on June 22, the movie "Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter" will hit the screens in 3D. This movie, based on the 2010 horror novel of the same name by Seth Grahame-Greene, will be produced in part by Tim Burton but also by the producer/director Timur Bekmambetov. Benjamin Walker stars as Abraham Lincoln who must fight vampires thoughout the movie, even Confederate vampires and a vampire who kills his mother. Abe's weapon of choice is a large axe which he wields to great effect. He has been engaged in this battle since long before he becomes president, but must continue the struggle even after he is president. For those of you who enjoy both alternate histories and dark, scary Gothic movies, this mash up might be entertaining for you.
