 Like model railroading, miniature modeling & and miniature wargaming computers have taken a toll on the hobbies. The kids can get a computer sim or game that does everything in a lot less time. The want of instant gratification is to blame.

20 years ago when I made rent money painting minis Madison Wisconsin had at least 6 game & hobby stores carrying everything from D&D to model railroading sets. Now just 2 and if it weren't for the college they would be gone.
