Hellcat- Yes, you could say that. It was James Bulloch who used his usual ingenuity to secure the ship that became the CSS SHENANDOAH. It fired the last shots of the war and travelled halfway around the globe (After learning in June of 1865 that the war was over, the crew decided in August to sail the ship to Liverpool) to finally surrender in Liverpool on 06 November1865. The captain of the SHENANDOAH, James Waddell, surrendered the ship to the British Government. It was then turned over to the US Government and was later sold.
