Welcome to the board Gen. Sickles a mental case? Well, he was the first to successfully use the "temporary insanity" defense in a murder trial. Whether he really was nuts when he shot his wife's lover or just clever enough to convince a jury he was is still up for debate. He also visited his leg every year after the War. Odd?
