Doc: Anything is possible, but Grant was tenacious and aggressive long before McC showed up and remained so long after McC left. This would indicate that any influence McC had on Grant at Vicksburg was minimal. (Other than the tufts of hair snatched out when McC delayed the crossing at Bruinsburg because he had "forgotten" to issue rations to his troups.) Ole
