Last night my good friend Larry Rogers was robbed. Larry is the author of Their Horses Climbed Trees a history of the Californians in the Second Massachusetts Cavalry. His great grandfather Abraham Loane was a member of Company A, the California Hundred. The thief took the Colt revolver that Abraham carried through the war as well as the pipe he carved while in Andersonville prison. I know we have collectors out there. Keep a sharp eye if you would for these items. Larry is a true gentleman and I would love to see these heirlooms returned to him. Tom The items can be viewed at this website. Click on Abraham Loane's "Mosby" Colt and his pipe. http://2mass.omnica.com/artifacts.htm Last edited on Fri Jan 26th, 2007 01:12 am by calcav |
