Thanks, Ole, for calling my attention to the date the Catechism was written, a fact I hadn't noticed. With the new perspective you provided me, I will withdraw the "benefit of the doubt" I spotted the writer because by that date, the writer should have had a better idea of the time line of events leading up to the start of the Civil War. One might be able to argue as to what was the actual start of the war, but there should be little doubt as to the dates and in what order such events happened.
