Fuller you are correct. With that said "Gone With the Wind" actually has some historical facts to it. Margarett Mitchell used Mary A. H. Gay's "Life in Dixie During the War" as a source for GWTW. "Life in Dixie During the War" is one of the few eyewitness accounts of the war written by a women.
