There were most definately native born Texans who died defending the Alamo. Among those agreed upon were:Juan Abamillo of San Antonio Juan Badillo of San Antonio Carlos Espalier of San Antonio Those Distinguished men you mentioned, their parents called that area of Mexico the Texas Republic? I understand your point though, we too often ignore the contributions of those Spanish Speaking people who were so instrumental in the war for Texas Independence.
