As you have figured out, there was more than one person with live ammunition. There was actually only one person with a blank, but no one knew who that was, thus, like you thought, you truely didn't feel guilty about killing a man. There was one strange story, though. One man was commited of a crime and sentenced to death by firing squad. The company was so enraged at his crime that they requested that the whole company serve as the firing squad. They were refused and only 15 persons were selected, but they were granted an unusual opportunity, every man was allowed to load his own gun. When the man was executed, the doctor later found 15 bullets enlodged in the dead man!! CJ
