One of my favorite movies to watch on the Fourth of July is '1776.' It's hardly ever on TV, but it will be this Fourth, starting at 10 p.m. (ET) on TMC. It's a faithful adaptation of the broadway play of the same name and is also a surprisingly good account of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, which can't be easy for a musical to pull off. But somehow, it works. At least it does for me. Oh, durn. We've been invited out to eat burgers and hot dogs, and me without a VCR that works.
