Exactally. Kids have to know more than I did just 30 years ago, back when you fed computers punch cards to program them and you certainly couldn't put one of them on your desk. Spell check? White out was my best friend. CD's? MP3's? Cell phones? How did we get by in the 70's? I just think it is a shame that many of today's kids depend more on the electronic technology than the printed word or their memory. Did the Capital Move in 1800? I thought that Adams lived in the dank and drafty white house in DC. At least I remember reading that that is the description Abigail gave of the house. And wasn't the Capital in NYC before DC? Or did it move to Philly from NYC? bluelady
