 This is so sad.  Old monuments too.  I agree it was punks who don't care and were out for some "fun"  at all of our expense. 

I have never understood this or tagging .  Does anyone know how damaged the statue is ?  Can it be put back up on the pedestal?  The other monument looks like it was really wacked hard. Well both of them do.  How can this be done on a busy street?  How much noise would it have made? 

Such a shame.
