David, You mention "Hate" crimes. I am opposed to "Hate Crime" legislation because catagorizes crime based on what the perpetrator was thinking... is murder more or less heinous because it is cloaked in "Hate"... Identify "hate" vs "non Hate" Is White on Black or black on white crime ALWAYS hate? If not, then why not?..If so, why? These are VERY VERY subjective issues and I do not believe they have any place in American jurisprudence...but then, I think a lot of things in American jurisprudence, indeed in American life are wrong..
