You're spot on. Good post. Money is the lubricant that oils everything.
It's also why venerable NC tracks like Rockingham and North Wilkesboro are now flea market sites as NASCAR tries to expand and embrace a more affluent audience (well, audience might be the wrong word since I can never hear anything at a race for days afterwards except for the ringing in my ears, but you get my drift). Did you ever think you'd see a Skybox at a NASCAR track? Childress, for one, has a condo at Lowe's Motor Speedway. Not near the speedway. At the speedway. Money, money, money.
