Relative to any number of other bloodbaths, Wilson's Creek wasn't AS important as those. I guess it depends on what kind of scale you use. I'd call it an important battle, but maybe not a MAJOR one. The Rebs won the battle, but lost the state anyway following Pea Ridge, so how crucial was it to the big picture?
