The fans don't oppose a playoff; it's the Bowls and College Presidents who oppose it. I think they will come around in 2015 when the Rose Bowl's contract ends. This season alone shows the BCS doesn't really work when there is no dominating team. But does a playoff really work either? The hot hand usually wins in a playoff not necessarily the team whose whole body of work for a season is most impressive. Look at how many wild card teams win it all in pro baseball and football.
