Doc,
I agree that some posts are very clear, well thought out and accurate, but I recall from my paper writin' days that after all research was done, notes organized and footnotes catagorized, the next thing to do was complete an outline. the purpose of course, was to keep things on track so to speak..

If I prepare a speech, I go thru the same process, if I speak extemporaneously, I tend to go off topic, and if I write an e-mail or respond to a post, I tend to hurry my thoughts, often assuming (there's that word again)that all I am thinking, is actually being written... 'tis ain't the case!

Regarding Mr Lincoln's lack of spelling, I read recently, can't remember where a quote attributed to "Gen. Jackson, but again can't remember if it was Andrew or Thomas that goes something like this... " "tis a poor man indeed, who has only one way to spell a word"
