Geez, this discussion seems kind of circular in terms of my life  (I think I could have said that better, but no matter).

Grew up in a family of highly accomplished musicians. Had a mahogony Steinway Baby Grand and an electric guitar sitting side-by-side.  I played cello in the school orchestra and electric bass with my friends.  The serious rock musician in our family was confident enough to openly love Sinatra, and took four of us to see the Bee-Gees live in 1976, which just couldn't have been less cool, even tho the stadium was packed.  We pronouced Barry Gibb "A Perfect Human Being" on the way home, he was so utterly charismatic and handsome and stylish, and I guess talented, too, =+++.

Now Young Miss and I share  the same tastes in punk and screemo, and She is really catching onto country (Good for Little Miss Yankee!!!!)  But, when she was twelve, she fell IN LOVE with Frank Sinatra, and listens to him regularly.  Guess the Sinatra thing skips a generation....
