 When I was in college,in the olden days, we made bookcases using boards and bricks or blocks or whatever else we could find.. 2 stacks of bricks, lay a board on top, repeat all the way up the wall if necessary.....with really long boards, you might need a center stack of bricks.. it is really pretty sturdy
