United States of America's Medal of Honor Recipients and their Official Citations. 3rd Edition. RJ Proft editor A worthy addition to any library. This book lists every single CMH awarded (minus those stricken from the rolls for not meeting the standards) including nearly a third of the book dedicated to those of the CW. 1250 pages of excellent info. It's indexed by state, name and time period. I picked mine up at my local Half Price Book and consider it the best buy I've made there in the last year.

Johan how many books do you have in your library? You amaze me with the range of the titles of books you have. These two books sound interesting but I have to put a stop to buying for a while so I will just sit here and whimper that I want the medal of honor one especially. I think I saw it in South Carolina at Patriot Point but it was not on sale price. I would bet that if all of us on here put our libraries together we could rivial the Library of Congress. Take care , thanks for the titles. Will just add them to my wish list. Susan

When I was 13-14 I bought the entire Sci Fi section of a bookstore that was going out of business, IIRC $300 cash worked out to about $.25 a book w/ a lot of doubles. Over the next couple years I would take all the doubles or books I wasn't interested in to used book shops & swap for what I wanted... Ever since then I stop into used book shops at every opportunity and I probably buy a book or two a month that is CW related. In 93 or so I donated 2000 books to a local library because I no longer had room for them... and I really wasn't into sci fi anymore. I'm the bane of existance for places like Borders as I don't think I've paid full price for mare than a couple dozen titles in the last 20 years.
