Does anybody know who won Sunday Oct.28 race? Did anybody watch the football game where the Panthers against the Colts played? We were gone so I didn't get to watch it.

Jimmy Johnson won in a late race crash-fest. I didn't watch the game in question.

DG,

I live about an hour from Charlotte, which should make me a Panthers' fan, but it doesn't. So I took great delight when Peyton Manning shredded the Panthers 31-7 after the Panthers took a 7-0 lead early. Manning passed for 263 yards.

Panthers are now 0-3 at home, 4-0 on the road. Go figure.

Panthers really aren't that good this year without Delhomme.

Guess you didn't go to the Barbecue Festival on Saturday, huh? 175,000 people here. Trisha Yearwood was the feature attraction. Then she went to Colorado on Sunday and sang the national anthem at the World Series.

Hey guys,

Just when I think Brady or Manning are about the best QB's I've ever seen, Favre pulls a game like last night out of his posterior. Absolutely amazing. Packers have no business being 6-1. No running game. Grant was their first 100-yard rusher this year. But I'm a closet cheesehead and I love it. Favre is making do with a lot less talented supporting cast than either Brady or Manning.

Pats or Colts this week? I want to see the Colts win just because the Pats are so damn good. Are the Pats running up their scores? Yes. I think Belichick is basically eff-youing the NFL for the fine he got earlier this year for videotaping opponents, something everybody else in the league has done at one time or another anyway. So take that, NFL.)(_

Besides, they'll see each other again in the AFC title game, and the Pats can win that one, when it really matters.

Thanks for the update. I live in N.C. to but I hate the Panthers. No way could they beat the Colts. I agree the Panthers aren't good without Delhomme. No I didn't go to the festival. I hate Trisha Yearwood but she isn't the reason I didn't go. I just went to see a movie instead. I am really glad Johnson won the race. He's my personal favorite.

We missed the Barbeque Fest but did buy the Childress Vineyards Swine Wine the day before. Usually it is  sold only at the fest.  We were told to let it "rest" for a year before attempting to drink it. Actually Hubby thought it was just a funny name for wine so he had to have a bottle.

I trust the barbeque was delicious.

Ok you win me over with the Gretchen Wilson post then you throw yourself under the bus with

" I am really glad Johnson won the race. He's my personal favorite."

He makes me think Nascar is fixed and wrestlin is real, first he wins California his home track very convient , now he wins Atlanta after he says he will give so much dough to the victims of San Diego fires ( which he did make points with me on)  specially after ABC hypes both reasons to the hilt just fits to easy for me . He thinks he is Jeff Gordon and he is not and his crewcheif is waaay to conceted for me. But that is Nascar you love one driver and hate other drivers thats what is so cool about it.

the above is all said with ribbing fun and humor by the way just read some of my posts i like to keep things lite and fun:cool:

Ok I see what you mean. Dale Earnhardt Sr. is the best there probably ever be. I like Dale more than I will ever like Jimmie Johnson. After reading what you posted I will definately examine what drivers I like. There are only three drivers I don't like, well four Jeff Gordon, Kurt Bushe, Kyle Bushe, and Jimmie Johnson. I watched some race clips the this morning and I see what you mean. You are pretty cool so please warn me if I'm about to throw myself under a bus again. I hope this post will win you over again.

Allright Pvt! I am a huge packers fan myself, I can't tell you how happy I am to see Favre doing well. I am not one to diminish what manning and brady have done during their careers, but favre has never played on a team anywhere near as good as any number of teams (years) either of those two quarterbacks have consistently played on-and this year, 6-1 with this team? Maybe as good, but no way they would be doing any better IMO. I grew up watching the packers as a kid, before they won their last superbowl and Favre was just a "young gunslinger". Now he is the "old man", and I don't think I need to tell you how that makes one feel a bit old lol. Oh by the way, did you see the press conference after the game when he was giving that reporter who had been saying he was washed up with no arm grief? LOL I love it!

I have to admit, I have a soft spot for Favre. I'm not a Packers fan, but a true fan admires greatness, and he is nothing if not that. I also agree that it's beyond comprehension how the Packers are maintaining the record they are this year. No stand-out receivers, no running game till last week, and neither the defensive or offensive line shines. But yet for some reason I love it. As a note of caution though - the Chiefs are the only team Favre has never beaten. Guess who they play tomorrow?

As for the big Pats-Colts game tomorrow, you ain't worth your salt if you don't make a prediction, even if you end up looking like a fool ;) So here goes: Pats win big. One of the greatest memories I have of time spent with my late father was living in Homestead, FL (just south of Miami) and sitting together each Sunday watching the '72 Dolphins go undefeated. Since that day, I've always said that with a 16 game season, it would never happen again. But as I watch Brady and the Pats this year, I realize I may have been wrong. Really never seen such a good team. Pats 37 Colts 14. Of course, if I'm wrong, then nevermind :P

I'll put my $ on the Pats but I have to admit I'm secretly hoping the Colts open a can of whoop butt and bury the Pats nose in the mud.
