Have any of you seen National Treasure book of secrets?? Its a good flix lots of action and history. Dont know why hollywood cant make more films like this one with little ones it is nice to see a film with no sex and blood or gunplay worse than a b western. Plus might peak someones interest to read up on some history.

Young Lobo, the movie started out great. I loved the premise-- a "Book of Secrets" known only to US presidents. It was even better that the "secret" that Nicolas Cage was trying to discover which was who was really involved in the conspiracy to assassinate Abraham Lincoln. This basis for the plot had wonderful potential. The re-eenactment of the actual assassination at Ford Theater with John Wilkes Booth all done in soft focus was well done. However I had grown increasingly exasperated by the time everyone ended up in the secret cave at Mount Rushmore. To my way of thinking, the cave scenes revisited every cliche of cave scenes in very movie that every had a cave scene and was so predictable, I decided it was actually a satire or a spoof. But a spoof doesn't really make sense in the context of the movie, so I don't know what Disney was thinking. One thing is certain...because the movie was such a financial success over the holidays, Disney will surely make a third one. Perhpas Nicolas Cage will search for the lost city of Cibola? That could mean a crazy trip on the rapids of the Colorado River in the Grand Canyon...and more caves???? Last edited on Thu Jan 3rd, 2008 01:36 am by CleburneFan |

I saw it and I loved it. Nicolas Cage did a great job in it. Better than some I have seen lately
