my family has a history of heart disease, kidney failure, diabetes, high cholesterol and high blood pressure. im trying while im young to be healthy that way i dont have these problems when im old

You have a great attitude and it is really smart of you to take special care not to avoid bad habits that could lead to having those serious diseases. Keep up the good work, Dixie Girl.

Shani thanks for the information.  I thought as much when I heard about the book.

Will save some time and money.

Ed that is sooo funny.  Better the ten cent fine than having paid full price for the book.

Anybody know how many copies that book has actually sold? Evidently not many based on what I am reading here at CWi.

According to publishers weekly it sold 606,304 in 2007 (It came out in November) I dont see anything for 2008

Donald McCaig is supposed to be some well known civil war author....did anyone read his other books

Jacob's Ladder : A Story of Virginia during the War
Canaan : A Novel of the Reunited States after the War

No doubt a followup of GWTW would have some public interest. (Does anyone know if book clubs picked it up?) In our community, you gotta know that we're going to walk around it and sniff it thoroughly before taking a bite.

I still haven't read GWTW, although I think it is around here somewhere. Shucks, I don't think I've read any of Shaara's works, and I know where they are. Too many books; too little time.

That is surprisingly respectable. A music CD that sells that much is close to a best seller isn't it? Anyway, thanks for the info Shani Faye. I appreciate it.
