Bama... you bad, bad man I didn't catch it first time around. Ever seen that trick floating around the internet where every word in a paragraph is misspelled but the first and last letter of each word are correct? Got me.

Reb... I don't think so. You need to read much more about what those men suffered through and I do mean suffered. It's hard to imagine marching from Kansas City to St Louis in December, or marching 318 miles in 14 days in a Minnesota winter w/ nothing more than a pair of blankets, a ground cloth and a great coat per man to try & stay warm at night. A modern combat infantryman might understand but I don't think too many would eagerly volunteer to do so. I know I wouldn't if necessity didn't demand such.

i would still do it at one reenactment i went with no shoes in the middle of winter show them just that had blankets aroud but were darn near numb in the end this my 100th post:)
