The Historic Carnton Plantation Association has accepted the resignation of Angela Calhoun as executive director, according to an announcement from board president Marianne Schroer.
Calhoun is the second director of a Franklin historic site to resign this week: Thomas Cartwright resigned as director of the Carter House on Monday.

I didn't know Angela, because to me, Eric personifies Carnton. But I am still sad about Thomas. However, I do think that David Fraley is a fine, caring man, and a very knowledgeable historian. I wish Thomas and David all the best.

Not Sure whats going on  there..

Was Told yesterday that Thomases last day is June 9th...  So if anyone is in the area  between now and then stop in and wish him well ..

I think I have only met Angela Calhoun  only once or twice..

David Fraley is a very knowledgeable historian    and will do a very fine job..  and one of the most caring individuals I know.

Am seriously considering driving down there to personally wish Tom well. Guess I won't, but but the thought did cross my mind.

Fraley (I'm assuming he is the heir apparent), is a logical choice for Tom's replacement. I wish him well.  He has some enormous shoes to fill.
