I have finally finished putting up all of my photos, of Gettysburg. I also have a photo index, that you can click to, from my main Gettysburg page. Most of the new photos are of regimental monuments. I plan on starting a blog, one day, that focuses on the history of regiments. I would be most interested in any feedback you can give me. I do know that there is a formatting issue with the Firefox browser. http://www.BattlefieldPortraits.com/

I love your stuff man! I use Firefox and had no issues that were evident. My only suggestion would be possibly organizing the pictures into chronological order and turning it into a sort of cyber tour. I know that's probably a butt-load of work but it would none-the-less be quite excellent given the thoroughness you approach your subject with. I also like the fact that you obviously try your best to exclude as much of the present day intrusions from your work. That definitely enhances the artistic/historic quality of the images. I wish I could go as often and to as many places as you have but unfortunately every trip I take is on my dime, and my vacation time...I know waaahhhh! I'm gonna try to do Honey Springs and possibly one of the Arkansas battlefields in a couple of weeks. Keep up the good work!

Captain Crow, Thanks for the kind words. I would highly recommend Pea Ridge, if you can get there. It is one of my favorite battlefields. Only two monuments in the whole park. It is much as it was when Van Dorn and Curtis were having it out.

Doc C, I live in the Creve Coeur area. Near Olive and I-270. Not too far from Webster Groves.

Mike great website. Pea Ridge was my first battlefield in this travel though the Civil War. I love the feel of the battlefield there , it seems like it is just as it was right before the battle. Susan

I could not agree more. Pea Ridge is one of the most undisturbed battlefields I have visited.

Wilson's creek is very much like Pea Ridge too . Only one monument there, where Lyon died. I have been to Wilson's creek Twice. Both times I had the field to myself for most of the time. Well I did share the road with a deer at one point. Susan

Mike, Just took a tour through your Gettysburg pics, the newer ones and the old--again! I'll admit I'm not a big monument fan, so my eye goes right for the others, like the cool ones of the Codori farm at sunset (what a sunset!). I liked trying to figure out when you took some of them by what areas were clearcut (like the Confederate approach to Devil's Den) recently. Keep adding them--I'll keep enjoying looking at them! Pam
