I listened to the book on tape when I was traveling in the area of Cold Mountain. Thought it was okay. The movie I only liked a few parts. Renee's role, the singing at the church and the Crater . The rest is forgettable I wanted to hand Inman a compass and say go the right way . As for Nicole she did not fit the part at all. She drove me crazy.

It was her or her body double that gets nekkid at the end plus a very, very, heavy woman earlier in the film.

My top 3 would be: Gettysburg Glory The Blue and The Gray Does anyone remember the movie "Journey to Shiloh" with a young James Caan and Harrison Ford?

Journey to Shiloh based on a novel by Will James . That is my favorite sappy movie. It had all the young hot actors of the late 60's in it . Michael Sarizin , Jan Michael Vincent , Michael Burns fresh from Wagon Train , Paul Peterson fresh from the Donna Reed Show and the guy that was one of the first nude centerfolds for Playgirl. The Captain from Chips was also in it. Harrison Ford hardly has any lines in it at all . You basically reconize him by the scar on his chin. I have a tape of it and watch it every couple of years . It is soooo full of errors. It came out during the Vietnam era and it's message is very anti war . Susan
