Great old Palm Beach County! The cheapest regular near my place is $2.25 a gallon. Premium, which we use in Hubby's car is $2.49. The perennial excuse for the most expensive gas in Florida is that special taxes have been added for highway maintenance and construction and also for schools.

I'll be amazed if we ever see gas under $2.00 a gallon (regular) where I live. It would be a big help, though.

It's $1.95 for lawnmower grade here in Barbecue Town. One station has it for $1.88 with a rebate card.

$1.77 and 9/10 today. There is something about this that is making me feel very uneasy.

With you on that one TimK. While Wall Street is in the tank, it cannot be that we're all going to get a break on the price of gasoline. The primary fear is that the easing of prices will remove the urgency to do something. Then, when the price jumps again, we'll be just as unready as we were this time around.

Am now going to rush out to fill the beast. 89 Octane is less than $2.00. Of course, if I put in 15 gallons, next week it may be $1.50 cheaper. Or it may not be. Pays your money and takes your chances.
