  Hi everybody! I am a long time follower of this board and just decided to sign up. I am interested in the eastern theater of the war, especially Gettysburg. I love historical fiction especially books written by Jeff Sharra. I read Gone with the Wind this year and I loved it.

  I hope to learn more about the Civil War and am looking forward to posting often!:)

 Welcome, Scarlett. I do hope you know what kind of society you've decided to join. You'll find it gobbling up all your spare time and forcing you to read books that you don't yet have. And when you've bought or borrowed and read that book, we'll be charging off on another direction.

Welcome to the board. My apologies if I sound too forward, but why don't you try the real thing rather than fiction. If you're seriously interested in Gettysburg check out Coddington and Pfanz's books to begin with.
