During a recent visit to Shiloh NMP, I had the wonderful opportunity to see one of these majestic birds sitting on a branch next to his nest. I was told by the person I was with that this was Hiram. There was something totally appropriate and yet so odd about this. There are places at Shiloh that regularly give me goose bumps, and now this will be another.

Its a great site... I enjoyed the link very much. Contrary to what was said in the FAQ, I have seen quite a few Eagles, both Bald and Golden in the area over the years.. especially in the area of Panther Creek in Alabama.. about 10-12 miles upstream from Shiloh
