I am interested in learning more about the 7th Georgia Infantry Regiment at Gettysburg. The unit was in G.T. Anderson's Brigade and I believe was posted on the Confederate right flank near the Emmitsburg Road. Can someone tell me more? Thanks.

George, The 7th GA was part of the flank guard during the 2nd day's battle. Since Stuart's Calvary was not available to protect the Confederates from flank attacks, the infantry had to take over.

Genlee63, thanks for your response. I thought that was the case. Did the 7th Georgia also participate in repelling the Union cavalry attack in that area on the 3rd day?
