About a month ago I got an iphone. First things first  , I did a search for the "Civil War." I found a complete course on the war by Prof. David Blight of Yale. Downloaded the whole darn thing--all 27 50-minute lectures--for FREE, at http://oyc.yale.edu/history/civil-war-and-reconstruction/, and have been listening to it on my commute ever since. Simply put, it's fantastic, and I wanted to make sure this group knew about it. I'm brand new to this group, so perhaps someone has brought this up before, but I couldn't find anything in a simple search....

I like this course, but he is talking about secession of the south, and I wanted to know why Americans do not let it go, who it belonged to and owned it by right. He does not say this.
