Greetings, I'm John and have had a Civil War role playing game in development for several weeks. It's the fourth of July Weekend and have been asking some folks to come by and take a look. Divided House is free to all who wish to join. This isn't a forum base game. It's powered by Nova from anodyne and very high speed. The art work shall be up this weekend and some of the character positions are up. This has an unlimited span. Plans to mod Scourge of War battles to it. It's just getting started and I would love to have members from the Board check it out. I have posted the link below, if you have any questions you can get me at Scattergun.gifford@gmail.com Hope to hear from you or see you at A Divided House! http://housedivided.rpg-hosting.com Last edited on Sun Jul 4th, 2010 05:36 pm by John Lake |

Yeah just taking someone else's ideas is pretty easy as one doesn't need to break any sweat to develop rules that others had spend hours discussing and revising... - - - - - - - - - - If you want to see the free ORIGINAL that this person (who was a member in our game) just took some of the base ideas from: http://19thcenturywbts.forumotion.com/forum.htm We are: FREE (and without annoying ads for all members) We are: Forum Based We are: going into our 2nd year We have: a growing community (history buffs, role players, gamers - you name it we have 'em) We are also: staging games in case members have the same PC - Civil War games at hand. Our main target has been and always will be to provide an authentic 19th century RPG environment set in the time of the US Civil War but following an alternate timeline. All positions are open for our players, thus giving them the chance to develop their own history, their own politics, their own version of the civil war - separate from the continuity of what happened in RL during that time (but still linked to it in certain ways - f.e. the uniforms, the level of technology that is available,...). So the bottom line is that there is no Abraham Lincoln, no Robert E. Lee, no Ulysses S. Grant - because it's up to our players to rise to those positions if they want to and to be confronted with all those decisions these men had to deal with - maybe they'll do better, maybe they'll do worse - only time will tell. If this strikes your interest, if you'd like to support original ideas and not mere copycats, if you are into role playing I hope you will drop by. __________________________
