the Emacipation Proclimation where John Geyser catches the Union Soliders attempting to Rape a Slave girl, he tells them "General Pope would not like hearing his solider did that and they take off." John brings her back to her family and tells them they will be freed??? this scene was cut out of my copy...

Which version do you guys have? This version?  Or this version?  I know the scenes being asked about are in the first version I listed because that's what I've got. 381 minutes on three discs vs 296 minutes on two. Folks who never saw the miniseries when it came out miss out on a good deal with the recut version.

Like I said, I've got the first version. Personally it's the one to go with. A little like listening to an unabridged audiobook vs an abridged audiobook.
