I have a relative who was in the 10th NY Cavalry and captured at Unionville, VA in July of 1863.  Do you know of any battle that occurred here.  I have information about the 10th NY and they were way north of Unionville during the month of July in 1863.  I know that the relative was a scout - but wondered if anyone knows why he may have been in Unionville at that time.

Mine run is close by for that time of the year after Gettysburg.  General Lee had his army close by at Orange.
