Do you think if Meade had used his cavalry to block the fords, before Lee could get to them, if it would have made a difference?

I dont belive it would have because of the rains most of the fords were already unusable, and even if they wernt flooded and the cavalry was in position instead I think Lee could have brushed them aside before Meade wold have caught up to them
