Hi, my name is Roger Lester. I have been a Civil War buff for about 7 years. I recently joined the Ben Harrison Camp, SUVCW. My screen name is for my ggg grandfather James Duckworth, corporal, Coy F, 88th Indiana, captured at Chickamauga and died at Andersonville. I had many ancestors on both sides and continue to research my ancestors actions in the war.

Welcome 88th, have you ever been to Andersonville? If not, with your connection you really need to go. It is definitelty an eye-opening experience. As interesting and great are the famous Civil War photos of the camp, they do not give you a good perspective of the lay of the land. Seeing it in person had a "wow" factor for me and explains why the Raiders and other hooligans dominated the north end of the camp.

I am hoping to go in the next year or so.

hi my name is rex maggert i have been reserching charles sweet my g.grandfather.he served in co. F 88th. IN. he fought at perryville than reported in desertion. rejoined in 1864 fought at alanta and was wounded at utoy creek. he lived in monroeville in. are you aware of any photos of F co. or the 88In.?
