The full theatrical trailer for "Lincoln" with Daniel Day Lewis is out. This is the movie based on "Team of Rivals." So what do you think of Lewis' Abraham Lincoln? Hit or miss?

I think this has the potential to be the last great historical epic for quite some time. I expect Daniel Day-Lewis will win the Oscar for best actor, and John Williams for best score. As for best film/director, I would need to see the whole thing to comment, but I can already tell DDL is going to be superb. Looks great!

Having spent 6 weeks in Richmond working on it (as one of the many makeup artists), I have to say that watching Daniel day Lewis was like watching the dead come to life. The first time I saw him I wanted to cry as I felt I really was seeing old Abe in the flesh.

I think it will be a great film, but until one sees the complete product you never really know. But what i saw while working on it, it looked great.

I was fortunate enough to see "Lincoln" at a special preview in NYC and it is fantastic!!! Daniel Day Lewis is "spot on" as Lincoln!! Unbelievable characterization!! From his looks to his voice!!! Outstanding!! The movie involves the last 4 months of Lincoln's life and his attempts to pass the 13th Amendment.....great movie with great performances expecially of Tommy Lee Jones as Thaddeus Stevens!! Highly recommend!!!
