Has anyone seen this documentary yet? It spans two discs and runs nearly three hours in length, detailing the 150th anniversary reenactment of the battle of Shiloh, filmed this past April. GREAT film for trying to spot yourself or other reenactor buddies and units who may have taken part. This is a film about the reenactment, and the labor of love of both the filmmaker and those who took part is evident. I have seen the film, and I have to admit, the audio is EXCELLENT-- you will definitely feel the pop of the artillery, and the video location puts you right in the middle of battle. ![]() The film can be ordered here: http://openeyesmedia.wordpress.com/dvds/ They also have an IMDB page: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt2354150/ There are also many photo albums and pictures that are free for viewing on that site, as well as Youtube videos. Definitely worth checking out! Try to find your friends! The second disc also includes a video tour of the Shiloh battlefield, which comes in handy if you can't make it to Tennessee. I contacted the director to find out and he said: The Battle of Shiloh reenactment documentary was filmed at the Blue-Gray Alliance event. It initially started as a project where we followed an Iowa unit as a newspaper correspondent writing articles for an Iowa paper. We were also working on a a news documentary film as we followed the unit. While working on the project, a number of reenactors in other units express interest in being included in the film. Several even contributed photos and video to the project. The film became a wide ranging documentary of reenactors at the event, in their camps, at the sutler area and at the dance. My film had no movie actors or sets - just reenactors. Wide Awake made an excellent film that told the Shiloh story from the point of view of seven people impacted by the battle in 1862. Actors played these parts. I hope this clarifies the differences between the two films. Brad Clark Director Open Eyes Media

I got a copy of the DVD and that photo was included in the section on the Confederate Camp. The DVD also includes a lot of other photos and video not seen online.
