Friends, It is with great pleasure that, after twelve long years of work and a tortured path to completion, my new regimental history of the Sixth Pennsylvania Cavalry, also known as Rush's Lancers, has been published by Westholme Publishing of Yardley, Pennsylvania. This is my thirteenth book, so it's nothing new for me to see my work in print. However, I honestly have to say that of all of my work, I am most proud of this book, and no other work of mine has more of my heart and soul invested in it. I can only hope that I have done the boys justice. Copies are available for sale at Amazon.com and at Westholme Publishing's web site, http://www.westholmepublishing.com. A special limited signed and numbered edition will also be available in a week or so. Details to follow. I hope I can be forgiven for indulging in some shameless self-promotion. Happy holidays to all. Eric

Did you hear I moved to town? Never thought I'd leave Shiloh. We are in a house used as an HQ by Beauregard, Breckenridge and Rosecrans.

Tom, I had heard that. Very cool indeed. How close are you to Battery Robinette? Eric

The visitor center where I work is a couple dozen yards from the site of Robinett. I live about a 1/2 mile away near the railroad crossing.

Eric, shameless self-promotion is perfectly okay in here. If you don't, who will? Besides, there's a difference between outright bragging and simply announcing an achievement you're proud of. Thirteen books. Wow. My forage cap off to you, sir. Patty
