I watched "The Colt" on dvd this weekend.  It's set in 1864 and follows a trooper who is in the First Michigan Cavalry.  His mare gave birth a colt and the movie follows his struggles as well as the colt's.  I , myeslf enjoyed the movie for a night of entertainment at home.  There are moments of deep emotions and moments of fighting and skirmishing.  It's worth the 83 minutes of watching time.  It's even okay for a manly man to admit liking this one.  Shhh.  I won't tell.

LOL fuller I wont let that one get out. If you like horse movies another good one is "Flicka" watched it with my daughter the other nite and we both cried , not a civil war movie though.

A good horse movie is "In pursuit of Honor" has Don Johnson in it hard to see sonny Crocket as a cav officer but is a good story and film.

Younglobo, Ha!!  I'm actually a woman.  So it's okay for me to be holding the box of kleenex.  I was just giving permission to all the men to cry at it too.  My dad (who is a manly man) is the one who let me borrow the dvd.  There were many moments throughout the film I was nothing short of feeling shocked that pop would have liked it (and fully admitted to it) :D

Hey no problemo younglobo :D

That is my point exactly.  It's okay for the men to like it too.  I really liked it.  If you do watch it...keep that box handy!
