Back when we started Civil War Interactive in 1996, we noticed
that the few Civil War websites out there all had links to other
websites. But it seemed that they were rather indiscriminate about
it. You could find good sites mixed in with lots of bad sites. We
determined to change that, so we started LinkCentral, a place where
readers would know that if they saw a site listed, they could trust
that it was worth their time. We review every site personally, and
rate them as either "Recommended", "5-Star", or "Editor's Choice":
