This site was rated at 4-stars some years ago. Since then, the
amount of new information added is staggering. One of the most
extensive regimental history sections we've seen. The site is done
cleanly, with no forced music or unneeded gif's. A gold mine for
those needing information on this sterling regiment. Gets deserved
bump to 5-star.

This is a very nice regimental site. For researchers it's full of
great information on the history of the regiment. Also outstanding
coverage - including discussion board, photos and writings - of the
modern reenacting 26th as well. Fine job by the webmaster.

Everything a website should be! The pages are crisp, clear, and fast
loading. The aesthetic quality is incredible. Illustrations are
professionally handled, appropriate, and quick. We can't begin to
detail the extent of this site, suffice it to say you shouldn't miss
it! A valuable resource of immaculate quality.
48th Ohio Veteran
Volunteer Infantry

http://www.48ovvi.org/
This is one of the most extensive regimental sites we've seen. You
can begin with the entire 280-page regimental history, and that's
just for starters. Multiple accounts of each action the regiment was
involved in, with most of them being from first-hand sources
highlight this site. The 48th was involved in many of the wars
fiercest battles, and each is documented fully. Photos and bios of
the men of the 48th round out this superb website - certainly worthy
of our 5-star award.
54th Regiment Indiana Volunteer Infantry

http://www.hoosiersoldiers.com
A very nice site dedicated to a deserving unit. The webmaster has
incorporated all types of info to give the reader a good background
on the 54th. Rosters, newspaper articles, and excellent accounts of
the life of the enlisted man make this an enjoyable site to browse,
as well as a valuable learning tool. Nice site!

http://www.142dpvi.org/
One of the best regimental sites that we've had the pleasure to
review. Very attractive and chock full of valuable information, both
about the original 142nd and the modern-day group. A great job by
the folks of the 142nd - good enough to make it the first regimental
site to earn our Editor's Choice award!
